Resumo
Objetivo: Apreender a vivência das mães quanto ao seguimento do seu filho pelo serviço de atenção primária após alta da maternidade. Métodos: Pesquisa qualitativa com utilização do referencial da Fenomenologia Social de Alfred Schütz. Participaram 23 mães mediante entrevista no domicílio em Regional de Saúde, Paraná, Brasil, em 2018. Resultados: Emergiu quatro categorias pela análise dos depoimentos das participantes. Os “motivos porque” apontaram três categorias: Compreensão sobre a Rede e o processo de cuidado na alta da maternidade; Primeira semana pós-parto: Rede de cuidado do recém-nascido no domicílio; Período neonatal: acompanhamento da criança na atenção primária. Quanto aos “motivos para” emergiu uma categoria: Expectativas para o cuidado da criança na Rede. Conclusão: A Rede nos municípios em estudo não oferece um acompanhamento sistemático da saúde da criança no período neonatal remetendo para exposição ao maior risco de agravos devido às restritas ações de promoção e prevenção.
