Resumen

Objetivo: Conocer la experiencia de las madres con respecto al monitoreo de sus hijos por parte del servicio de atención primaria después del alta de la Hospital de Maternidad. Métodos: Investigación cualitativa utilizando el referencial de Fenomenología Social de Alfred Schütz. Participaron 23 madres en una entrevista domiciliaria en la Regional de Saúde, Paraná, Brasil, en 2018. Resultados: Del análisis de los testimonios de los participantes, surgieron cuatro categorías. Las “razones por las cuales” señalaron tres: Comprensión sobre la Red y el proceso de atención en el alta de la Maternidad; Primera semana posparto: Red de atención domiciliaria para recién nacido; Periodo neonatal: monitoreo del niño en atención primaria. En cuanto a las “razones para”, surgió una: Expectativas para el cuidado del niño en la Red. Conclusión: En los municipios estudiados, la Red no ofrece monitoreo sistemático de la salud del niño en el período neonatal, exponiéndolo a un riesgo más alto de desarrollar afecciones, debido a las acciones restringidas de promoción y prevención.
