Abstract
The review of literature on risk of infection related venous catheter to the treatment of dialysis presents for nurses summaries and commentaries on articles published recently. A research for bibliographical survey through the manual and computerized search in the periods between 1999 and 2002 was carried through with the objective to identify nursing interventions to reduce infection at the catheter central venous (CVC) for dialyses. The interventions of nursing for these customers are concentrated in minimizing the introduction of microorganisms and increasing the resistance to the infection.
