Abstract
The OBJN was established in April 23rd, 2002, under Isabel Cruz editorship. The OBJN has received more than 23,000 visits. The geographic origin of the authors and readers is from Brazil, United States, Canada, Portugal, United Kingdom, Philippines, Australia, Spain, Uruguay, Sweden, and others (Malta, Iran, Thailand, South Africa, for example). The journal plays an important role in the process of knowledge dissemination and education in nursing while in raises nurses' attention and responsibility towards societal issues as political and economic empowerment.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
