Resumo

Objetivo:

Explora a teoria da validade, abordando sua evolução histórica e sua influência na pesquisa e desenvolvimento de diagnósticos de enfermagem

Método:

Estudo teórico - reflexivo baseado em pesquisa bibliográfica conduzida para entender a evolução semântica, epistemológica e metodológica da teoria da validade

Resultados:

O desenvolvimento histórico da teoria da validade organiza-se em cinco fases principais: primórdios na China antiga, gênese do conceito, fragmentação teórica, a reunificação e a desconstrução. A análise histórica revelou como a teoria da validade tem sido fundamental na construção de estruturas diagnósticas e modelos de pesquisa, sendo, ao mesmo tempo, objeto de críticas e ampliações. A teoria da validade evoluiu com influências de diversas abordagens epistemológicas, incluindo diferentes abordagens como a trinitária, a unificada e a baseada em argumentos.

Conclusão:

Este estudo oferece uma visão abrangente e crítica da teoria da validade, destacando suas implicações para o desenvolvimento uso de diagnósticos de enfermagem na teoria e na prática.
