Resumo

Objetivo:  identificar  as  evidências  científicas  sobre  as  famílias  de crianças  com  doença falciforme.  Método:  revisão  integrativa,  a  partir  da  busca com  os descritores:  anemia  Sickle  Cell  OR  Hemoglobin  SC  Disease  OR  Hemoglobin  Sickle  AND Family AND Family Relations AND Child em português, inglês e espanhol, nas bases de dados   MEDLINE,   LILACS,   CINAHL,   PUBMED,   publicados   entre janeiro/2005   e janeiro/2015.  Resultados: foram selecionados  16  artigos  que  originaram  as  categorias temáticas: impacto  da  doença  falciforme  na  família, repercussões psicossociais  na dinâmica  familiar,  qualidade  de vida  da  criança e  sua  família  e  suporte  social/rede  de apoio. Discussão:  os estudos  referem  que  a  família  se  manteve como  a  principal provedora no cuidado a criança com doença falciforme, enfrentando os desafios para o alcance  da  integralidade do  cuidado  e, lutando pela  qualidade de  vida  de  seus  filhos. Conclusão: essas evidências subsidiarão a equipe multiprofissional na construção de um cuidado contínuo às famílias de crianças doentes falciformes
