Abstract
Problem: This current doctorate thesis that is at The Management and Professional Practice Research Line of the Research Nucleus in Health Management and Nursing Professional Practice, it has the subject on the meaning given to the nurses experiences on the systematization about nursing assistance in managing the quality of professional care.
Objective: Proposing a theoretical matrix that demonstrates the meaning of the implantation and implementation of the systematization of assistance in managing the quality of professional care.
Method: It is a qualitative research which had as theoretical-methodological reference the Symbolic Interactionism and Grounded Theory, respectively. The research scene was the National Institute of Cancer - Unit II, a public hospital, reference for the treatment of cancer in Brazil, located at Rio de Janeiro. The research subjects were nurses who work at this unit. To survey and comparative analysis of data semi-structured interviews were done with 09 nurses at 2008. The data were validated by six nurses.
Results: The theoretical matrix formulated was: giving new meaning to managing quality and valorization of professional care: implantation and implementation of the systematization of nursing assistance.
Conclusions: This matrix confirms the argument that nurses give new meaning to quality management, based on the experiences of the implantation and implementation of SAE, through new perspectives on their assistance indicators, managing people, resources and costs, valorizing its role against the professional care and understanding the implantation and implementation of the SAE as qualifiers processes of nursing assistance.
