Abstract
This review article which aims at presenting permanent or continuous education in the Intensive Care Units, reflecting on its use as a strategy to improve the care provided to that customer. A literature search was conducted from January to March 2008, in the database of Bireme. The period examined was the year of 1997 to 2008. It was based on the articles analyzed that the continuing education / permanent is discussed so widely and is considered a key strategy in the daily lives of Intensive Care Units
