Abstract

Objective: we investigated whether the lack of discipline provides human sexuality in nursing education and has been a waiver of the integration of sexuality education in undergraduate ursing education in the state of Sao Paulo. Method: this qualitative study where we interviewed 59 students (1 and 4 years) of undergraduate nursing at a state college in São Paulo. We analyzed the responses of students and held an educational workshop to confirm the data. Results: the students believe they already have enough knowledge about sexuality acquired before entering college. They indicate that they feel a lack of discipline that specifically address the issue. During the workshop demonstrated the unpreparedness of students in situations that addressed sexuality Conclusion: that there is no discipline in the curricula of sexuality and lack investigated the approach to human sexuality can affect the training of nurses.
