Resumen
Objetivo: analizar los factores de riesgos sociodemográficos y comportamentales de puérperas en la autoeficacia en amamantar. Método: estudio transversal, realizado con 322 puérperas internadas en el alojamiento conjunto, utilizando la Escala de Autoeficacia en Amamantamiento (BSES-SF). Se evaluó la consistencia interna por el Alfa de Cronbach (0,89). La asociación de la autoeficacia con las demás variables fue realizada por medio del teste chi-cuadrado. Se hizo la regresión logística entrando en el modelo de las variables con p<0,20. Resultados: hubo asociación estadísticamente significante de la autoeficacia con el número de personas que viven con la renta familiar (p=0,014), no usan drogas (p=0,003), tienen dos o más hijos (p=0,009), amamantan (p=0,018) exclusivamente de cinco a seis meses (p=0,002) y han tenido experiencia positiva (p<0,001). Conclusión: Los profesionales deben considerar la autoeficacia en su contexto profesional, pues ella establece interacciones con las características de las puérperas, influenciando significativamente en el amamantamiento.Citas
