Abstract
Aim: to learn the sexual and health behavior of women of convicted men. Method: This is an exploratory, qualitative study conducted in November 2015 in a small prison in Paraná, Brazil. The data were collected through a semi-structured interview with 19 women and later submitted to content analysis, thematic modality. Results: it was found that women of convicts, in addition to being vulnerable, neglect care measures for their own health, prioritizing the health of partners and relatives. In addition, they exhibit risky sexual behavior favored by incarceration conditions of the partner and by establishing unprotected extramarital relationships.
